Patrick Boyd Multihulls Ltd. is one of the foremost and longest-established multihull specialists in the world. Since 1975 PBM Ltd. has offered a first-class brokerage list and has sold over 1,300 cats and tris - some of them more than once.
Since 1999, the company has also acquired the agency for some of the best new designs around, including the entire range of Privilege sailing catamarans and Transcat power cats.
This wealth of experience, from marine finance to racing sails but above all knowledge and love of multihulls, has made PBM Ltd a respected and trusted name in yacht brokerage, with satisfied buyers and sellers around the world.

Sailing multihulls since childhood, Bill Bullimore was YW Catamaran European Champion as a teenager. At eighteen, he built his own Tornado which was 5th in Worlds, and funded a Tornado Olympic campaign in 1976 from his yacht delivery company 'Multihull Deliveries'. Later, he fitted out a 53' cat in the UK and sailed it to Greece to charter. He was a professional yacht skipper in the Mediterranean and Caribbean for eight years. He also holds an instrument rated commercial pilot's license and has keen interest and experience flying sailplanes and hang-gliders.
During 18 years in the West Indies, primarily involved in sailmaking, he also developed various marine-related companies, all of which still thrive today and also found time to build a Crowther Twiggy Mk II trimaran. Bill has worked in detail with many designers and multihull projects including 35' 'Shockwave', 40' 'Spirit of England', and bigger cats such as the 60' 'Sonamara', the even bigger 93' 'Lammer Law' and the awesome 110' 'Cuan Law'.
Following his purchase of PBM in December 1997, the business moved to Bill's part of the country on the south coast of England, and to its present location at Wicormarine in 2002.

The company was founded in 1975 by Patrick Boyd. During the later part of his 18 years in publishing, Patrick wrote his definitive book "Catamarans in Close-Up" and built one of the first Mk I Iroquois catamarans. In 1973, he set up the London office of Camper & Nicholsons, establishing a large yacht brokerage and charter business, to which later in 1975 he added a separate multihull division.
In 1983 he extracted the multihull side, renamed it "Patrick Boyd Multihulls" and ran it successfully for fourteen years becoming a leading industry figure. In 1987 he was elected President of the YBDSA and to the main council of the BMIF.
In 1997 he sold Patrick Boyd Multihulls to Bill Bullimore, but continued to act as a consultant, advisor and friend to the business until his death at 73, in September 2001.
